The Canadian Museum of Civilization, located on Laurier Street in Hull, is directly across the Ottawa River from Parliament Hill. The museum houses a wide variety of exhibitions with themes such as Canadian history, Native cultures, folk art, contemporary Indian and Inuit art and archeology. The building is also home to the world's first combination IMAX®/OMNIMAX® Theatre, which can project films in "larger than life" formats.

May 1 to June 30 : Seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
Thursdays to 9:00 p.m. (the Canadian Children's Museum closes at 7:00 p.m.)

July 1 to September 6 : Seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
Thursdays and Fridays until 9:00 p.m.

September 7 to October 11 : Seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
Thursdays until 9:00 p.m. (the Canadian Children's Museum closes at 6:00 p.m.)

October 12 to April 30 : Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.;
Thursdays until 9:00 p.m. (the Canadian Children's Museum closes at 5:00 p.m.)
